You have worked with Microsoft Access 2003(or earlier) and you now need to be aware of the additional features in the latest release of the software for improving the management, presentation, and distribution of your databases. In this course you will be introduced to the new features available in Microsoft Office Access 2007. Using the new and enhanced features in Access, you will be able to create a highly functional database. Knowing the tools that allow you to accomplish these operations will greatly expand your Access capabilities.

After this class, you will be able to

  • Identify differences in the new interface and work more efficiently by using the Ribbon, Office Button, and Quick Access Toolbar
  • Use contextual tabs on the Ribbon to make changes to tables, forms, reports, and other Access objects
  • Create tables and insert fields, edit data types, and use the new Auto Calendar feature
  • Query a database, create user forms, and generate reports using Wizards or design tools
  • Use the new interface to perform familiar tasks from older versions of Access
