Take time out to discover the career options that suit your style! Career Assessment offers a combination of career testing and small group activities that help you focus on your career profile. You'll take the COPS, an interest inventory, and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the most popular personality style assessment. We'll also cover career search strategies, career research resources, decision-making and goal setting.

After this class, you will be able to
- Describe the steps of career exploration and how to use them in career planning
- Prioritize important life values to determine which five are most important now
- Describe past accomplishments to help determine future career options
- State your personality style and create a list of five career options that would be best suited to that style
- List interest patterns and develop a list of seven career options for further research
- Learn the online information resources to help research career information, such as the fastest growing and highest paying careers
- Utilize a decision matrix to focus and narrow potential career options
- Create an action plan that will outline at least three “next steps” and their deadlines
