Cascading Style Sheets is used in almost every professional website. This easy-to-learn computer language allows you to precisely control the formatting and layout of items on web pages. The course introduces you to the basic syntax of the language and explores its various properties such as font, size, color, and spacing. If you have a working knowledge of HTML, you can create professional website style sheets within hours with CSS.

After this class, you will be able to

  • Explain the purpose of CSS and HTML and how they combine to create web pages

  • Manipulate characteristics of text, images, tables, links, and entire pages
  • Create style sheets with proper syntax to ensure consistent interpretation across various web browsers
  • Employ professional design techniques such as IDs, classes, divs and hover effects in web pages
