Evening at Emory - Fine Arts
This course is designed for students who have passed Piano Introduction or who have equivalent experience (i.e., can read both treble and bass clefs and understand basic music theory well, including notature, timing and rhythm). The course introduces exciting sight-reading techniques and tactics for quick advancement. This call will reinforce finger articulation, dynamics, and intermediate theory, and introduces the concepts of chords, cadence and development. There will be an additional $7 fee for the textbook upon registration. Piano compliments of Steinway Piano Gallery in Atlanta. Limited to 20. Always wanted to play the piano, but were afraid to try? Play the piano successfully even if you have little or no background in music or keyboard, and build a solid theory foundation for further musical development. Gain practical keyboard and musical theory knowlege, learn to identify notes, and play songs using both hands. Your instructor has been featured in several publications for his innovative teaching developments for piano teachers. There will be an additional $7 fee for the textbook upon registration.
