Introduction to Pilates

Focused on beginners, this course begins the Joseph Pilates Method at a slower pace in order to improve proper techinique and body awareness. As the course progresses its pace accelerates while taking the needs and skill levels of its students into consideration. You will be exercising the deeper muscles of the body for better body alignment and improved breathing. The course also provides exercises and techniques for stretching and strengthening the body in a non-impact environment. Limited to 20.

This course is designed for those who have some experience with Pilates Mat techniques, are already physically active in other techniques or have taken Introduction to Pilates. The focus is on strengthening and stretching core muscles, and upper and lower body conditioning. Take your workout the the next level and learn more challenging combinations to enhance lung capacity, stamina, and muscle control for faster results at your own pace. You will work with props such as small balls and belts to add variety to the practice. Limited to 20
