Tai Chi I

Tai Chi is the ancient Chinese system of exercise, martial arts, and moving meditation. As a body awareness discipline Tai Chi improves flexibility, balance, and muscle tone; cultivates energy and vitality; and promotes a deep sense of well being. In each class you will learn the slow, graceful movements of the 24-form Yang simplified style. In addition, there will be emphasis on combining simple movements and breathing exercises utilizing Qi Gong. Wear loose clothing. Limited to 14.

As the course progresses its pace accelerates while taking the needs and skill levels of its students into consideration. Art of Fencing

Our class will give you an overview of what’s often referred to as “The World’s Oldest Modern Sport.” Under close guidance of an experienced instructor you will be introduced to the three fencing weapons: the foil, epee, and sabre. You will learn basic swordplay techniques and develop offensive and defensive bladework skills. As you improve your methods of footwork and lunging you will gain the skills necessary to fence competitively. Your instructor is a member of the U.S. Fencing Association technical staff and holds a Prevot d’Armes certificate from the International Academy of Arms in Paris. Limited to 15. *No discounts
