Instructor Application Process

If you are interested in teaching for our program, please continue reading.

instructorThe Emory Center for Lifelong Learning appreciates your interest in becoming an instructor.  We are committed to offering high quality continuing education experiences to our students and providing instructors with rewarding teaching opportunities.  Given that commitment, we review each instructor application and course proposal carefully to assess whether it is a fit with our program.

Because we receive as many as 100 applications and proposals per quarter, it may take up to 4 weeks from receipt of application before you are notified by phone or mail.

Please be as thorough as possible when completing your Instructor Application.  Only complete applications (including professional references) will be reviewed.

Also, please be sure to review our current offerings prior to submitting your application. Computer training applicants will generally teach existing classes, while other applicants generally propose a new class.  The application process below provides further details.

Benefits of teaching for our program

Our instructors enjoy the distinction of teaching for a world class institution of learning.

Emory provides an honorarium to compensate instructors for their time and effort. The honorarium differs from class to class.

Instructor names are included in Center for Lifelong Learning catalogs which are distributed to 80,000 people three times per year.

Instructor names, photos, and biographies are included with their class on the Center for Lifelong Learning website which is visited by over 1000 people each day.
