Instructor Application Process
If you are interested in teaching for our program, please continue reading.
The Emory Center for Lifelong Learning appreciates your interest in becoming an instructor. We are committed to offering high quality continuing education experiences to our students and providing instructors with rewarding teaching opportunities. Given that commitment, we review each instructor application and course proposal carefully to assess whether it is a fit with our program.
Because we receive as many as 100 applications and proposals per quarter, it may take up to 4 weeks from receipt of application before you are notified by phone or mail.
Please be as thorough as possible when completing your Instructor Application. Only complete applications (including professional references) will be reviewed.
Also, please be sure to review our current offerings prior to submitting your application. Computer training applicants will generally teach existing classes, while other applicants generally propose a new class. The application process below provides further details.

Applicants of interest will be invited to come in for an interview and teaching demonstration. Teaching demonstrations are short (15-20 minute) presentations that give us a chance to assess your comfort with the subject matter, teaching ability, and presentation style. |

Following the teaching evaluation, instructors are typically notified within 1 week as to whether they are invited to become instructors for the Center for Lifelong Learning. |
