Emory’s tradition of academic excellence and rigor is reflected in our Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate Program. The program was designed by industry professionals who understand the business environment and competitive challenges that organizations face. Our program is not just about Six Sigma’s tools and techniques. More importantly, it blends key technical, critical financial and valuable management concepts to give graduates the proper end-to-end perspective and leadership skills that drive business results.

The Emory Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate includes approximately 20 hours of online study and 24 hours (4 days) in the classroom.  The program tuition includes a comprehensive work book, access to the online learning portal for 6 months, catered lunch during the 4 classroom days, and a certificate upon graduation from the program.

• Our instructors are certified Six Sigma & quality professionals with extensive industry experience in Japan and the U.S.  They have advanced degrees from recognized institutions like M.I.T. and have been published in leading quality journals including Quality Progress, Quality Digest, iSixSigma, Hospitals & Health Networks, and Solutions (supplement to Journal of Financial Planning).

• We utilize a case study-based approach that integrates key concepts in a practical, real-world setting. Students are challenged with extensive individual and team exercises to reinforce key concepts. The team exercises also foster valuable leadership skills.

• Students have an opportunity to meet and talk with industry leaders who actively practice Six Sigma in their business.

• We utilize a blended learning format that combines classroom and online study to make the program convenient for those travelling to attend the Green Belt Program.

To ensure that our students have mastered the Green Belt concepts and gauge the effectiveness of training, all Emory Green Belt candidates must take and pass (75% minimum) an in-class final examination.  Our exams measure each participant’s:

• Knowledge of important Six Sigma concepts
• Analytical skills (i.e., problem solving/calculations)
• Synthesis skills (i.e., critical decision making)
